What is Isagenix?
Isagenix is a company based in the US that was founded by Jim and Kathy Coover with the goal of helping create and maintain a healthier population. The company now operates in several countries where it develops and produces products that assist with nutritional cleansing which can result in greater health, wellbeing and weight loss.
What is a Great Isagenix Diet Plan?
In short, Isagenix offers a vast variety of whey protein shakes, bars and herbal supplement which help promote weight loss.
A good Isagenix diet plan will involve combining Isagenix products with a healthy and balanced diet. This includes water, fresh fruit and veg and protein.
The Isagenix program is broken down into two separate types of days. These are shake days and cleanse days. On both days, dieters use a combination of Isagenix products and permitted snacks for the majority of their meals. These, used in conjunction with supplements, are designed to increase energy and weight loss.
The Isagenix Diet Plan Includes
Isagenix Shake days
Shake days form the majority of the diet and are called this because of the consumption of Isagenix shakes. On shake days, two scoops of IsaLean shakes mixed with 8 ounces of water constitute breakfast and dinner. These shakes contain 230 calories and 23g of protein which comes from the whey and milk protein combination. On these days, lunch should be the only non-shake meal and should ideally contain 400 to 600 calories. A great isagenix diet plan also consists of mid meal snacks which include items from the approved snack list.
Isagenix Cleanse Days
Cleanse days make up the minority of the diet and should be done a maximum of 2 times per week and should not be undertaken for more than 4 consecutive weeks. On cleanse days, the dieter should consume three meals, all of which are liquid. These include beverages made with either Cleanse for Life Liquid or Cleanse for Life powder mixed with water. On these days, the mid-meal snack choices include items such as celery, an apple, almonds or the Isagenix snacks such as chewable supplements which come in chocolate and vanilla flavors. Similar to shake days, the far-burner and flush pills are still alternated during designated mealtimes.
For both days, it is important to consume plenty of water in order to ensure that the body is functioning at is optimum level. Exercise is also an important part of a great Isagenix diet. On shake days, dieters should engage in exercise with both aerobic and resistance components whereas on cleanse days only light to moderate exercise should be undertaken.
The Isagenix is a diet is a popular one but like with all diets, in order for it to be effective, it should be followed according a specific plan which includes adequate exercise and water intake.
